Who we are

Matloob (“we”) is a marketplace that connects workers and employers for short-term shifts in Jordan. This policy explains what personal data the Matloob website and mobile app collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it. Contact: support@matloobjo.com.

Data we collect

Account details: name, email address, and phone number, used to create your account and send one-time login and verification codes.

Profile: photo, bio, work preferences, CV answers or résumé documents, CliQ alias (for payouts), and job or application history.

Identity verification (workers): a selfie and a photo of your national ID, used only to confirm you are a real person before you can take paid shifts. We do not sell this information.

App and site activity: jobs you view or apply to, offers, notifications, device push tokens, and basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) when you visit matloobjo.com.

We do not use your device’s precise GPS to track you. Job maps show the location of a shift from the employer’s listing, not a live feed of where you are.

How we use data

We use this data to operate Matloob: sign you in, match workers and employers, verify accounts, send OTPs and notifications, process shift applications and payouts via CliQ outside the app, and improve reliability and safety. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.

Sharing

Employers you apply to or who hire you can see the profile information needed to book a shift (such as name, photo, and relevant experience). Payment of wages happens through CliQ or similar channels you provide; Matloob is not your bank.

We use infrastructure providers (hosting, email/SMS delivery, push notifications, and interview scheduling) solely to run the service. We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. In the Matloob app Settings you can deactivate your account or permanently delete it. Deletion removes or anonymizes your personal data, including verification photos, so it cannot be used to sign you back in. Some records may be kept if the law requires it (for example, a completed paid shift).

Your choices

You can update email, phone, photo, and profile fields in the app. You can refuse camera, photo library, or notification permission; some features (selfie, ID upload, push alerts) will not work without them. For questions or access requests, email support@matloobjo.com.

Children

Matloob is for adults seeking paid work. The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
